Aaron Wier is the Director of Golf Operations at Gustin Golf Course, where his leadership and expertise come together to elevate the golf experience for guests. A proud Mizzou alumnus, Wier graduated in 2009 with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to his role. Outside of his professional achievements, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, also a Mizzou graduate, and their two children. Together, they embody a legacy of excellence and commitment to the Mizzou community.

Isaac Breuer

Course Superintendent

With a passion for turf management and landscape design, David “Isaac” Breuer brings over 29 years of experience in the golf industry. His expertise is key in consistently enhancing the course’s beauty and performance. Committed to excellence, Breuer works closely with the team to create a premier golfing experience for members and guests. When he’s not tending to the course, Breuer enjoys spending time with his family.

Eric Cletis Acton

First Assistant Superintendent and Head Mechanic

Eric Cletis Acton is the Second Superintendent and Head Mechanic at Gustin, where he has dedicated 23 years of exceptional service to maintaining the course’s condition. With a degree in Commercial Turf and Grounds Management from State Technical College, Acton brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to this role. In his spare time, Acton enjoys spending time with his family.

Erik Kase

Assistant Manager

Erik Kase serves as the Assistant Manager at Gustin, a position he has held for the past three years after dedicating seven years to the course. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Kase is a proud graduate of Mizzou, where he earned his degree in Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism in 2021, followed by a master’s degree in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership in 2023. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Kase enjoys playing golf and exploring the local trails, always seeking ways to stay active and engaged with the outdoors.

Zack Giffen

Second Assistant, Turf Care Team

An accomplished member of the turf care team at Gustin, Zack Giffen’s responsibilities run the gamut. If you’re out at the course, you might see him rotating pin locations, spraying, watering, mowing and generally ensuring every aspect of the course maintains its high standards. Whether behind the scenes or on the course, Giffen is dedicated to providing a top-tier golfing experience for all who play here.
