Gustin Today

Girl puts a golf ball on Gustin Golf Course. Man stands in the background.

Right in the heart of Mizzou. A world away from the noise.
Gustin Golf Course sits  in the center of campus, just a short stroll from Faurot Field — but once you step onto the course, it’s a whole different world. It’s where perfectly cut tee boxes meet fast Zoysia fairways, smooth bentgrass greens and a whole lot of peace and quiet.

We’re not just here for the game — we’re here for the experience.
Our championship course is designed to challenge and inspire, with top-tier conditions and a team that puts service first. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just learning the ropes, every round at Gustin feels like something special.

City close. Nature wrapped.
You’re just minutes from downtown Columbia, but you’ll swear you’re miles away. With 27 bluebird houses, 9 pollinator plots, and a proud legacy of sustainability, Gustin is more than a golf course—it’s a sanctuary. (Certified by Audubon International since 1997, no less.)

Fuel up. Kick back. Play on.
From the warm welcome at the clubhouse to the bites and beverages from PeachTree Catering, we’re all about creating a laid-back, elevated experience—on and off the course.

A little history for your next round.
Gustin opened in 1959 on land gifted by A.L. Gustin, Jr., with a mission to serve Mizzou students, faculty, staff, and alumni—and that mission still drives us today. We’re proud to be the first college golf course in the country to be certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, recognized for our commitment to wildlife, water conservation, and eco-friendly turf management.

18 holes. Thousands of players. Countless memories.
From the Missouri State Open to the Show Me State Games, Gustin has hosted some of the region’s biggest tournaments—plus around 25,000 rounds of golf every year. It’s a place to compete, connect, and make your mark.
